Client: Groupe Dayan , SHDM

Place: Montreal QC

Surface area : 7 storeys high building

Mandate: design, interior and exterior architecture, graphical intervention

Completion date: spring 2013

Concept and challenges: The Fabrique 125, situated at the heart of the district Chabanel embraces the industrial inheritance of places and transforms it to welcome a new residential community. The building clad in black and white bricks passing from 1 address to 192 addresses gets dressed in figures: stories, symbols which passed through time. Livened up by an in depth metaphor, an artist reveals with this lace, the artistic innovation of the project. Inspired by the stitch, typographic wefts lead the space. The Fabrique offers 42 units provided with loggias. A wide 6 feet high fenestration allows the entrance of light which bathes the space. All the spacious lofts with open areas are endowed with ceilings 11 feet high with concrete paving stones.
