Concept and challenges: The Mélanie + Lysanne boutique is located in The Pepin Shop, in the heart of Old Montreal. An innovative and original concept of “shops in shop” in which the space occupied by the brand has been conceived and designed by the Humà team.
Inspired by the modular concept previously designed for the agency Mélanie Mc Lean, it offers visitors a soft and cozy space in the spirit of the brand whose clothes are cleverly selected for their aesthetic and ethical qualities. Thus, the raw stone walls and the high wooden ceiling stand alongside the white paneling and the modular structures of the shelves and the suspended clothes stands.
This slender hanging system dresses the verticality of the space and outlines the lightness and refinement of the clothes that seem to float in the room. The directional lighting of the ceiling spotlights draws the contours of the clothes projected on the floor. The large area allows visitor to circulate fluidly in the space in which are integrated relaxation areas with sofas.
