  • Concept and challenges: Cirque du Soleil has commissioned us to create the inner envelope of a theater in Dubai. The show, based on standardization and the quest for differentiation by art, had to be already explicit when entering the lobby. In the idea of ??enter into the "sacred", a dark, mirrored double door confuses the viewer and makes him lose his bearings. He is absorbed in the place. We favored a sober, almost austere approach, interpreting the rigor of a society based on standardization, which evolves at intermission and at the end of the show, to become a living jewel of disparate lights, creating an organic network. This evolving interior architecture, whose highlight is a door in corten of more than 20 feet, with luminous inlays, is highlighted by a graphic, also luminous, which puts an emphasis on very directive pictograms at the beginning. a spectacle. These pictograms will gradually be submerged by other points of light, making the information unreadable, and allowing the viewer to finally feel free of his movements, without obligations, mirror felt the spectacle he has just seen.
