VERMONT RESIDENCE
This project is the redevelopment of the first floor of a large house for an active family. The partitioned rooms, far from each other and on different levels, made it impractical. The challenge was therefore to keep the authenticity of its original style intact, while creating a strong architectural gesture that would open it up to the outdoors: where the children play.

The ground floor was therefore organized around a volume of black paneling that groups together the services and connects the different living areas. The interior circulation is oriented along the new openings onto the courtyard and is pierced perpendicularly by the new kitchen space.
This bright, high-ceilinged space opens to the outdoors, creating a synergy with the large pierced canopy that covers the new terrace. The interior, with its understated style and the use of white lacquer and textured marble, provides a relaxing atmosphere perfect for late evenings in the comfort of a cozy nest.
