BOISBRIAND URBAN VISION

The Boisbriand community downtown redevelopment project aims to create a dynamic, attractive, and safe space, focusing on identity, mobility, and sustainable development. Three distinct sectors will be developed: the events sector, incorporating an outdoor gathering space in Derek-Aucoin Park; the sports and recreation sector, bringing together various sports facilities around the arena; and the community sector, housing a multifunctional building for community services. This project aims to reduce heat islands, optimize green spaces, and improve mobility for pedestrians and cyclists, while reflecting community values.

PROJECT FEATURES AND CHALLENGES

The events sector, located in Derek-Aucoin Park, will serve as a gathering place for Boisbriand's festivities, incorporating a natural mound for year-round activities and event facilities. The sports and recreation sector will include facilities such as tennis courts, volleyball courts, and a large baseball diamond, as well as a revitalized arena with artistic facades and a multifunctional wooden structure.

The community sector, located between the arena and the pharmacy, will house community services in a large multifunctional building with underground parking, an extensive library, and a multipurpose room. Outdoor spaces such as a public square will be developed for various activities, contributing to the cohesion and identity of the Boisbriand community.

AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE VISION

This project aims to reduce heat islands, optimize green spaces, and improve mobility for pedestrians and cyclists. The integration of sustainable infrastructure and local materials reflects the city's commitment to environmental protection and creating a healthy living environment for future generations.

INNOVATION, DESIGN, AND ORIGINALITY

The approach adopted for this redevelopment combines innovation and design, taking into account the evolving needs of the community. The facilities are designed to be flexible and accommodate a variety of cultural, sporting, and social activities. The use of wooden structures, artistic elements, and sustainable materials gives the project a strong and original identity, in harmony with the values and heritage of Boisbriand.
