CIRQUE DU SOLEIL,
BIG TOP
Cirque du Soleil has commissioned Humà design + architecture to create the visual signature for the iconic "Big Top." It's an honor and a real challenge to revisit the familiar yellow and blue tent and give it a new image, that of Cirque du Soleil, which is meeting Mexico for the duration of a show, "Luzia."

Humà suggests the symbolic use of names, that of Mexico: the place where the moon sets, and of the Cirque du Soleil, emphasizing the marriage between the stars, one of the main themes of the show. The refined lines and circles create a triple anamorphosis: the trajectory of the sun and moons are revealed in 3 dimensions depending on where the spectator is, as well as a representation from a bird's eye view, to complete the idea of the divine mixed with the human.
The major challenges of the project were the combination of strict precision of the design and its technical production for the large-scale tent design.
