CLINIQUE O

In 2024, Humà Design + Architecture was commissioned by Dr. Patrick Boulos to design the second Clinique O, specializing in oculoplastic surgery, as well as an adjacent wellness center. Located on Île des Sœurs in Montreal, the project aims to offer a high-end and soothing experience, where medical precision meets the gentleness of design. The intervention involved transforming a rigid and outdated administrative space into a technical, functional, and profoundly human environment dedicated to both health and well-being.

The team also sought to create a sensory and soothing atmosphere, breaking with the sterile world of traditional medical environments, to offer a true parenthesis outside of time, without stress or temporal markers.

The design is distinguished by a fluid and enveloping architectural language. Wooden panels ensure continuity between the two entities—clinic and wellness area—while light, curves, and textures guide the eye and promote relaxation. Velvet curtains, rounded plasterwork, and luminous incisions create a decor that is both minimalist and warm. Each room adopts its own color palette, asserting its identity while facilitating wayfinding.

The glass-enclosed meeting room acts as a vibrant focal point within a serene, white environment. Finally, the massage spaces extend this immersive experience into a hushed, quiet, and meditative atmosphere. Together, these interventions embody a vision of care where design becomes a tool for comfort, confidence, and balance.
