MASSAWIPPI RESIDENCE
Nestled on the steep shore of Lake Massawippi like a gateway to the river, the house is located at the end of a driveable path through a wooded area. Designed as a wooden frame resting on a concrete base, the house gives way to the landscape in the background through a covered transverse gallery, a double-height lounge, and a triple-height lobby.

A plant and mineral landscape is part of the environment, carefully preserved during construction, extending from the arrival walkway to the dock. A sustainable approach was taken during construction through the laminated veneer lumber (LVL) structure and recycled materials. Thus, the exterior and interior cladding, and the furniture, are made exclusively from recycled parts. The house has biothermal heating.
