MERAAS 1 DUBAI
Cirque du Soleil commissioned us to create the interior design for a theater in Dubai. The show, based on standardization and the quest for differentiation through art, had to be made clear upon entering the lobby.

With the idea of entering the "sacred," a double, dark, mirrored airlock confuses the spectator and makes him lose his bearings. He is absorbed into the place. We favored a sober, almost austere approach, interpreting the rigor of a society based on standardization, which evolves during the intermission and at the end of the show, to become a living setting of disparate lights, creating an organic network.
This evolving interior architecture, whose highlight is a corten door more than 20 feet long, with luminous inlays, is highlighted by a graphic design, also luminous, which emphasizes very directive pictograms at the start of the show. These pictograms will be gradually submerged by other points of light, making the information illegible, and allowing the spectator to finally feel free to move around, without obligations, a felt mirror of the show he has just seen.
