Major granite factories process stone and create a variety of products, from architectural granite to furniture. The Interpretation Centre is the focal point for exploring the region and exploring several nearby activities: historic quarry trails, the observatory, a tour of the Saint Joseph's Oratory quarry, and guided excursions to San Sebastian.

"The Traveling Stone" is a unique exhibition spread across the gardens and interior spaces of the Maison du Granit. Like fossils revealing the past, the panoramic trail and its historical markers retrace the genesis of stone and the history of the granite industry in the region since 1880.
