NORDELEC
The project involves the expansion and transformation of one of the most imposing heritage buildings in North America: the Nordelec. The concept involves preserving industrial traces while maintaining a contemporary feel through the use of materials and artifacts salvaged from the building, which will be displayed in the common areas.

The use of copper as the common thread throughout these spaces recalls Northern Electric's industrial past, which specialized in the production of electrical wiring. The urban lounge is distinguished by a custom-made copper lighting fixture and becomes the central element of the layout.
For all spaces, we favored the choice of noble and authentic materials such as marble, walnut, and raw metal. Certain materials were chosen for their reflective properties—white paint and black lacquer—to create a contrast with the century-old brick and concrete.
